I used this exhibition to focus on a simple single theme of line, form and color. To explore what happens when I maintain my urge to change within a framework of common materials using drawing, painting and sculpture knowledge driven by a concentrated production mentality of energy and ability. What begins to happen is a revelation of infinite possibilities and projects limited only by time.
Greg Luedtke lives on a farmette with a studio by Custer, WI with his wife Pam and daughters Stana and Terez. Born in 1961 he grew up near Wittenberg, WI surrounded by music, animals, farming and nature with awesome parents, a brother and three sisters. He studied drawing and sculpture at the Art Students League in New York, NY mainly with Sidney Simon and Nathan Cabot Hale. He spent many days of his youth playing by the shores of Lake Superior in Ashland, WI while visiting his grandparents and owes a lot to the energy of this great body of water and surrounding lands.
